Are you one of those guys who wants to look stylish but finds it doesn’t come all that naturally? We feel you. Don’t fret: With some advice from LA-based stylist Meg Gallagher, we’re all going to learn how to dress a little better. In this edition, we’ll be finding out how to look comfortably stylish while you’re experiencing the unpleasant results of last night’s alcohol binge.
Step #1: Know Your Options
Looking good when you’re feeling like death isn’t easy. Fortunately, Gallagher knows of a recent trend that is comfortable, fashionable and hangover-friendly: Athleisure. “It’s all about using soft, stretchy fabrics, while maintaining a structured silhouette,” she explains. In other words, athleisure companies are churning out blazers and trousers that look like blazers and trousers but feel like sweats. Here are Gallagher’s head-to-toe athleisure garment recommendations:
Blazers and Jackets:

Shirts & Shoes:
As far as shirts and shoes go, Gallagher recommends following her previous advice on choosing the right T-shirt and investing in a pair of what are called hybrid sneakers—meaning they’re both comfortable and appropriate for most situations.
Step #2: Put Together Your Outfit
We’ve already discussed how to choose colors that go together—using that as your guide, Gallagher recommends wearing any of the jackets mentioned above over a T-shirt, one of the trousers mentioned above and hybrid sneakers. That way, you’ll feel like you’re lounging in your sweats all day long, while looking like you showed up to work to take care of business. Drink a few big glasses of water and you’ll make it to 5pm like a champ.
